once, doce, trece, catorce, quince:  the soft sound that you hear is the letter ‘c’, not ‘s’

 

Be careful with numbers spelled with ie versus numbers spelled with ei!  The teens starting with 16 are all ie, the numbers starting with 20 through 39 are all ei.
