Welcome back! If you have a question, email me at the address above.
I am working on the schedule and will have it available in the coming fall. Students will be assigned a weekday (Monday-Friday) and rotate times during that day. More details to come.
Lessons start the week of September 9, 2024! I will distribute instruments for new students at their first lesson.
There is only one way to get better: PRACTICE!

About the Instrumental Music Program
The Warren Township Schools' Instrumental Music program is designed to introduce 4th and 5th Grade students to the instruments of the band and orchestra. Students have "pull out" lessons one a week for 30 minutes in small groups (3-6 typically). Lessons take place on a rotating schedule so students do not miss the same academic or specials each week. Students must commit to practicing at least 10 minutes a day, and parents must commit to making sure they do.
In October, 5th Grade (second year) students are invited to join Gold Band or Gold Strings, which meets once a week before school. While optional, nearly all students join. These ensembles perform a Holiday Concert in December.
In March, 4th Graders are invited to join the 5th Graders in Gold Band and Gold Strings. Again, these ensembles meet once a week before school. These groups perform at our annual Spring Concert in May.
There is no cost to take lessons or join Gold Band/Gold Strings. Students, however, will need to rent an instrument from our partner, Elefante Music. Information about rentals is found here.
We do not allow students to use low-quality instruments, such as those found at on-line retailers such as Amazon. These instruments lead to frustration because they are unplayable, even at a beginning level.
