Contact

My school email is svaglio@warrentboe.org, which I usually check both before school and upon leaving the building.  My goal is to always respond back to parents within 24 hours. I welcome you all at anytime to feel free to reach out should you have any questions or concerns.  In this way we can work together in order to promote a successful year for all of our students.

Spanish Class

Students will learn to read, write, speak and listen in order to gain a broad understanding of the Spanish language.  My goal is to not only instruct students, but to engage them in a way that they have a love of the language and culture as well.  Students will use these skills in order to gain the ability to successfully communicate with others in the community in the target language.  Students will also learn many interesting facts about the cultures of many spanish speaking countries as well as important figures in each country.  In my classroom, my goal is always to not only engage and teach the students, but to create an atmosphere of comfort so that they can succeed.

Classroom Rules

  • Come to class prepared with all of your belongings
  • DO NOT speak when others are speaking
  • RESPECT others and their belongings
  • EFFORT

If there are any issues in class, I will reach out to parents personally so that we can discuss any problems that are ongoing.  If students are misbehaving on a consistent basis, they will be given a detention as well as a phone call home. I will always speak to the students first, and give them a chance to improve behavior.

Classroom Supplies

  • Binder or a folder (Can be shared with other classes with 2 dividers for Spanish)
  • Composition Notebook
  • Whiteboard Markers

Grading

Students are graded on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish, as well as performance in class.
