Updates

 

Grade 6 E2

In December, all WMS 6th graders were evaluated for E2 (which is the pull out gifted and talented program). Criteria used consisted of MP1 grades, current MP2 grades, iReady scores from spring and fall 2023, NJSLA results, plus teacher input using TABs (Traits, Aptitudes & Behaviors) assessment.  Students who met the criteria were mailed a letter along with an application to apply to be in the E2 Program. 7th and 8th Grade E2

E2 is busy these days with an array of E2 activities such as mock trial writing for a New Jersey competition, preparations for a mock trial at the Warren Courthouse, chess, leadership activities, a series of local and national math competitions, quiz bowl tournaments and forensics public speaking events. Upcoming activities include Shark Tank, JSS Solar Car Competition, and more...

Students who are interested in being evaluated for E2 can request it after the 3rd marking period.

 

E3 - Enrichment Education for Everyone!

E3 is thriving and all students are offered a variety of enrichment. Daily activities are posted in the E3 Google Classroom and Dr. Cooper is available to support students who take an interest in E3 enrichment opps.

 

WMS Math Enrichment Hub

A WMS Math Enrichment Google Classroom has been offered to all students to peruse math enrichment opportunities and challenges. Students are encouraged to take a look at math contests like Continental Math and other math contests, plus choice boards, problem solving and critical thinking activities.
