Social Studies Grade 7

Welcome 7th Grade Students and Parents!  

As you receive your schedules for the school year, you may have some questions about our social studies class.  I'll do my best to answer some of the common start of year questions below. 

Content - 7th Grade Social Studies focuses on empires in world history with connections made to events occurring in the world today.  It is a highly collaborative course, and you will have many opportunities to contribute verbally, electronically, and in writing.  Your school issued chromebook will be used daily in class as will a variety of other educational resources.

Materials Needed-

  • Chromebook in its case and charged
  • Binder with a dedicated section for Social Studies
  • Ample supply of loose leaf lined paper in binder
  • Pen (blue or black ink) 
  • Pencil for notes and classwork if you prefer that over pen
  • A highlighter, preferably yellow
  • Colored pencils for use on drawings and maps
  • Dry erase/whiteboard marker
  • Earbuds to be kept in your chromebook case

Students will have access to all daily classwork and homework assignments through the Unit Daily Agenda and Google Classroom.  That is the most up to date source for all information regarding the class.
