The History Club Trivia question of the week:  The answer to the history question is equality  and economic doctrine. Congratulations to the winners, Aishani Penuballi and Anderson Diaz. 

 

 

The third “battle” in the WMS Battle of the Books took place yesterday and consisted of three outstanding 8th grade teams, the “Book Worms,” the “SAND-Ds”and “Funded by the MW Foundation.” 

 

The 8th grade battle was a nailbiter from start to finish!

The first 10 rounds ended in a tie between “The Book Worms” and “Funded by the MW Foundation” which went into a 5-question challenge round that ALSO ended in a tie. Those in the audience were on the edge of their seats watching these two teams go head to head.

 

After 20 greuling rounds, the battle was eventually won by “Funded by the MW Foundation” with a score of 125 total points.

 

Congratulations to all three 8th grade teams who answered 88% of the questions correctly. This group of committed readers clearly prepared for the 2nd Annual WMS Battle of the Books and showed excellent literary recall!

 

Today, the top 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams advance to the finals starting at 1:13pm in the library. Good luck, everyone!



 

 

 

Baseball tryouts will be held March 23rd, 24th, and 25th.  See Mr. Arnold’s website for more details.

 

 

 

 

All girls trying out for softball, tryouts will be held on March 21, 22, 23 after school. Email Ms. Schwartz with any questions.
