BOOK FAIR CONTEST!

Coming soon to a library near you is the greatest, most historically unprecedented Book Fair WMS has ever seen*.

As is fitting for such an event, we want to see what reading mettle you all are made of. Which grade gets bragging rights after buying the highest number of books? Will it be the 8th grade - the big bosses on campus; 7th grade - the collective sassy middle child with something to prove; or 6th grade - the new kids on the block who will show how the new generation handles business?

The winning grade gets at least one new book for each homeroom

AND

Ice cream for the entire grade, served at lunch time.

As an added bonus, we will be raffling off some posters at the end of the Book Fair. If you’re interested in winning one, make sure to ask for a raffle ticket when your class comes to visit.

Book Fair runs from Tuesday 1/25 to Thursday 1/27. Bring cash or ask your family to set up e-wallet. See Mrs. Shimko’s Google Classroom for the link and the class visitation schedule.

Spring sports sign up is available on Genesis now through February 21, 2022.

If you are interested in playing baseball for the middle school, there will be a mandatory meeting Tuesday, Jan 25, 2022 before school at 7:40 AM in the library.

On February 10 from 6:00-7:30 PM EmPoWER Somerset is hosting a virtual Teen Dating Violence prevention event for middle and high school youth and their parents. They hosted this event last year and had a great turnout and are excited to offer this again this year! There will be a keynote speaker from Safe+Sound Somerset, a Kahoot game with a chance to win prizes, and EmPoWER Somerset will be giving away door prizes, including airpods, throughout the event!
