Today we are wearing team shirts to demonstrate tolerance for differences.  To recognize our last day of the Week of Respect we will show our school spirit tomorrow by wearing Warren Middle School spirit wear or our school colors Blue and White.

The boys soccer team defeated Franklin yesterday 6-0. JP Fernandez scored three goals, a hat trick, to seal the deal. Logan Pimemntel scored on a set piece, Calvin Zou scored on a penalty kick, and Antonio Giulianoalso found the back of the net. Congrats boys!

Congratulations to the cross country team on a successful first home meet against Greenbrook. In the girls race, the top four were Warren students with Sari Berman coming in first, Maria Pontoriero coming in second, Martyna Kubicz coming in third (happy birthday) and Naina Raju coming in fourth. The boys also did well with two Warren boys coming in the top 5. David Wu came in second and Kai Yang came in third. Great race. 

 

There will be practice today after school until 4:00. You will be able to take the late bus home.

Yearbook Club: Do you want to help with creating this year’s yearbook? Do you want to help capture all of the fun events that happen at WMS throughout the year? Join the Yearbook club. Email Mrs. Decelle, Mrs. Buzby, or Mr. Ahimovic to join. 

 

Thursday Clubs: Today is the first day of Thursday After School Clubs. You must have a signed permission slip to participate in a club. Please return signed permission slips to Mrs. Decelle in room 14. A list of clubs and the room number they will be taking place in will also be available on Mrs. Decelle’s door. Additionally, a list of clubs with open availability will also be posted. Late buses will be available for after-school clubs at 3:50 pm. Supervision is provided after school until 4:00 pm or until the last late bus leaves. Late bus lists will be posted in the APR if you do not know which late bus you should take home. Winter sports

 

Winter sports sign ups will begin in Genesis on October 1st. The Winter sports available are Boys and Girls Basketball.

 

The deadline for signups and sports physical submissions is October 31st. All NJ State Sports Physical forms must be turned in by October 31st in order for the School M.D. to approve them prior to tryouts.

 

Sports forms cannot be emailed. All forms must be dropped off directly to the school to the attention of the School Nurse in the Health Office or uploaded into Genesis using the medical document upload portal.

 

If you have already submitted a physical for this year that is still current within 365 days,  then a Health History Update is all that is required to be submitted.

Everyone trying out, must have either a current sports physical submitted, or on file with the submission of a health history update form.

All forms are found on the WMS website under activities and athletics;  sports information and sports dates

 

Your student athletes' approval will be reflected in Genesis. All student athletes must be approved PRIOR to tryouts.
