Morning Announcements

 

Halloween Guidelines

Cohort A will be permitted to wear costumes on Tuesday, Oct. 27.  Cohorts B and C will be permitted to wear costumes on Friday, Oct. 30. Costumes are optional for all students. Students that choose to participate must follow these guidelines:

  1. Students must arrive in costume and will not have the ability to change during the school day.

  2. All costumes must be school appropriate.  Students will not be permitted to wear any item not compliant with our school dress code.

  3. Masks that cover the full face are not allowed.  Students will still be required to wear their gaiter or face mask to comply with District rules for school safety.  

  4. Students will not be permitted to wear any item which may be a safety hazard.

  5. WEAPONS OF ANY TYPE are not permitted.  

  6. Inflatable costumes are allowed as long as the student’s face is visible. 

The WMS Pep Club will be hosting a virtual costume contest for all WMS students.  All WMS students have received contest directions via email.  

In addition, our WMS PTO will be providing each student with Halloween treats as part of the celebration.  Thank you to Mrs. Degen and Mrs. Brezee for their assistance with enhancing the WMS Halloween tradition.

 

 

 

WMS Random Acts of Kindness

 

Yesterday was Way to Go Wednesday!!!  This is the day we give a shout out for WMS random acts of kindness.

The Lions International Peace Poster Contest is an international contest that encourages children, ages 11-13, to creatively express what peace means to them.  The 2020-21 theme is “Peace Through Service.”  The contest allows students to share their unique image of peace with others, so that we may all have greater tolerance and international understanding.

The contest is open to students who will be 11, 12, or 13 years of age before November 15th.  Entries are due to Mrs. Cooper by November 4th.  

Students received an email from Mrs. Cooper about this opportunity, so check it out!

 

 

 

Teacher/Parent conference letter was emailed to parents yesterday. Please check your email for detailed information. Conferences are scheduled for November 2 - 4. 

 

 

Retake/missed picture day?  Retake day is scheduled for November 2nd and Cohort D at 12:50 PM.  Please contact Mrs. Berry via email at gberry@warrentboe.org if you plan on a retake or missed the previous days. 

 

 

 WMS Daily Student Wellness Check should be completed everyday by 7:35 AM.

Save yourself the trouble of making dinner, while supporting the WMS PTO!   A portion of your purchase price will come directly back to the WMS PTO!  Flyers with details have been emailed out!  Make sure to let the restaurant know you are there to support WMS PTO and show the flyer.
