Poster Contest

Reminder, the Lions Club Peace Poster Contest entries are due on Halloween, October 31st. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cooper in room 32.

 

Tour of Princeton
If any 7th or 8th grader is interested in participating in a Walking & Bus Tour of Princeton on Saturday, November 16th, please stop by Mrs. Cooper’s room 32 for details. Permission slips are located outside the door and also, an email was sent to students.

 You will walk throughout the campus of Princeton University and then take a bus throughout Princeton to learn about some of the most fascinating people in history including Einstein, Oppenheimer, President Woodrow Wilson, several Nobel Prize winners, and so many more. This entertaining tour will truly overwhelm your brain with amazing information.

 

 


 

Sport Announcements

 

Cross Country Team

Both the girls and the boys Cross Country teams beat South Plainfield at home yesterday with the boys winning by 17 to 49 and the girls winning by 15 to 45. All of the top five girls were from WMS. Kathryn Flanigan came in first, Sari Berman 2nd, Keya Patel 3rd, Mia Pucci 4th and Martyna Kubicz 5th. Four of the top five boys were from WMS. Zack Morrison came in first, Andrew Conway 2nd, Dylan Blekicki 3rd and Paul Quense 5th.  It was a great effort made by all members.

 

There is practice today after school until late buses.

 

Our last meet is tomorrow (Wednesday) at Heritage Middle School in Livingston.

 

Please remember to return your CLEAN JERSEY to Mrs. Boni or Mrs. Bardy by Friday, November 1st.

 

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team battled for 60 minutes but came up short against Ridge yesterday, losing 2-1. It was a great team effort with a season filled with many successes.

 

Winter Sports - Sport Physicals

No physicals will show up as approved or cleared to tryout in Genesis until they are approved by our School M.D. that will take place on November 5th and then changes will be made in Genesis. All physicals are beginning to be processed today. 

 


 

PTO News

Next PTO Meeting November 19th at 9am

Rec Events- were a success! Thank you to all parents who decorated the APR, generously sent in goodies, chaperoned and played a part in the Grade Rec Events. The kids had a great time and enjoyed themselves. See our website for photos!
