Yearbook Club

IF you are joining Yearbook Club, your permission slip needs to be handed in to Ms. Cassidy or Mrs. Alger before the first meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd. If you were unable to attend the information meeting see Mrs. Cassidy

 

S.A.V.E Promise Club

Are you interested in joining the S.A.V.E Promise Club? If so, please go to Guidance to sign up. 

 

Poster Contest

If any student at the middle school would like to create and submit a poster for the International Lions Club’s Peace Poster Contest, please stop by Mrs. Cooper’s room 32 for more information. You can also get this information in Mrs. Lettire’s and Mrs. Ronkiewicz’s classrooms.

 This year’s theme is “Journey of Peace”. The deadline for submissions is October 31st.

 


 

Sport Announcements

 

Girls Soccer

The girls team came in like a wrecking ball and demolished Somerville 7-0.  2 Goals by Ayah, 1 by Lil Woj, Mama C, Sabby, and the Hollywood Star --The JET.  The player of the day was Wild Child Helena Pace who had 1 goal and 4 assists, The girls finish off the regular season with Hillsborough at Home on Monday.  

 

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team defeated Somerville yesterday 6-0. Dean Viera got the game winning goal midway through the first half. Lukas Homolya netted his first goal of the season.  Artie Ulaj added two goals and Alex Carnevale and Brian Edelamn rounded out the scoring. The boys play at North Plainfield today.

 

Winter Sports - Sport Physicals

No physicals will show up as approved or cleared to tryout in Genesis until they are approved by our School M.D. that will take place on November 5th and then changes will be made in Genesis. All physicals are beginning to be processed today.

Important PTO Event Dates

Fooddays closes :- 17th October

7th Grade Rec Event :- 18th October 3-4pm

Next PTO Meeting:- October 22nd at 9am.

6th Grade Rec Event :- 25th October 3-4pm

 

Fooddays cycle 2 closes :- 17th October.  Order food items and pay the PTO dues and please make a donation!

 

Free Money for School!

BOX TOPs! The first Box Tops deadline is Friday October 18th . Bring in your clipped Box Tops in a baggie with your name, grade, and homeroom teacher to be entered in our contest. The homeroom with the most Box Tops at the end of the school year wins ice cream as a prize!

Grade Level Events:- flyers , permission slips and Sign-Up Genius were sent out last week .  Permission slips must be completed and returned to school, to ensure the school knows your child may attend. Chaperones and food items still needed - please sign-up and  send in items before 1.30pm on the day of the grade event.

Somerset Youth Council

Attached please find two flyers in reference to the Somerset County Youth Council.

  • The first is a registration form for the 23rd Youth Conference that is being held on Thursday, October 17th from 5:30pm-9:00pm. Pre Registration is required. Open to all students in Grades 7-12.

  • The second is information pertaining to becoming a member of the Somerset County Youth Council. Membership is open to all students in Grades 7-11.
