Homework is important for student growth. The assignments given will reinforce content covered in class and provide an additional opportunity to practice individual skills. Homework will typically be assigned Mondays-Thursdays which includes a weekly reading log. Students are expected to read at least 4 days a week for at least 20 minutes each day. They must jot their thinking on the back of the log and get a parent/guardian signature.
 
The students are responsible for copying their homework from the board into their planners each day. Assignments may sometimes be accessed in Google Classroom or assigned on iReady. 
 
Parents are encouraged to help their child designate a specific time of day and quiet area in their home for homework completion and studying. If homework is not being completed on a regular basis, parents/guardians will be notified. 

Please contact me via email, phone, or send a note into school should you notice your child experiencing difficulty with any homework assignments given. If neccessary, I will happily review or reteach the material the next day with your child. Thank you for your partnership!
