Welcome back to school and speech/language services!

My name is Allison Reu, and I am the speech/language specialist at Woodland School.  I have been a speech/language specialist since 1997.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in speech/language pathology/audiology from Miami University in Ohio and my Master of Science degree in speech/language pathology from Loyola College in Maryland. I am a licensed speech/language pathologist in the state of New Jersey, and I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

I look forward to working with your child this school year and watching as his/her speech/language skills develop.  Please check my website monthly as I update it with interesting articles and information that pertain to speech/language skills.

As per your child's IEP, direct speech/language services start on September 16, 2024.  During the few days of school, I spend time observing students in their classrooms, reviewing IEPs, collaborating with staff, and developing my schedule. When developing  my schedule, I work with your child's teacher(s) and other related service providers (when appropriate) to find times that will have the least academic impact when your child is out of the classroom for therapy.  After I have gone through an entire 6-day cycle, I will let you know your child's specific speech/language therapy time(s).  This gives me the opportunity to work out any conflicts.  If you have any specific questions or concerns, please email me at areu@warrentboe.org. You can also call me at 909-753-5300, #6232.  I am looking forward to great school year!

Sincerely,

Allison Reu, MS, CCC-SLP
