Dear Families,

Summer Fun 2024 is right around the corner! I’m excited to return to Summer Fun this year, not only after a 1 year hiatus to welcome my son, but as the new principal of our Summer Fun program.

For those of you who do not know me, I have been a teacher in the Warren Township School District since 2011 with the majority of those years spent teaching at Warren Middle School. I have been with the Summer Fun program since 2017 as a teacher, and I previously held the position of Assistant Principal since 2020. I am committed to maintaining the high standards of excellence that Summer Fun is known for, while bringing fresh ideas and renewed energy and enthusiasm to our beloved camp.

What I love about Summer Fun is that we offer both academic and enrichment courses; something that many camps in the area do not offer. Our courses are also taught by certificated teachers in a variety of areas such as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), creative arts, health and physical education, logic and problem solving, and social-emotional learning. Additionally, students can register for one period or all four, for one week or all five weeks. Children can register for different classes each week allowing them to sample our variety of offerings.

One new idea I am launching this summer is the Community Pass platform for registration, scheduling, and payment. You may be familiar with this platform as it is often used for township activities. If you aren’t already familiar with it, I believe you’ll find it much more user friendly. You will be receiving an email from Community Pass prior to registration opening on February 15, 2024 asking you to create an account. Please follow the instructions as detailed in the email so that you may register.

This year, we are offering a 10% sibling discount for each additional sibling that registers. Additionally, we are continuing our limited refund policy with 100% refund if requested by March 15, 2024 and a 50% refund if requested by April 15, 2024. There will be no refunds after April 15, 2024.

As we approach the summer, I am dedicated to ensuring that every camper has a safe, enjoyable, and transformative experience at Summer Fun. My primary goal is to foster a positive and inclusive environment where campers can explore, learn, and create lasting friendships. Open communication is essential, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us create the best possible experience for your child.
