The deposit for acceptance into the program is due on February 28th. Once the placements have been confirmed, it is less likely that a spot will become available for the 2025-2026 school year.
How is eligibility determined for placement into the program?
There are a fixed number of general education spots in our preschool program, for which Warren residents have priority. Residency documents and birth certificates are required to confirm placement in the program.
Is the district still considering opening up additional classes?
Preschool programming is regularly evaluated to make sure the district addresses any current state requirements. At this time, we do not have the ability to move forward with additional classes, but if anything changes, a similar lottery process would be used.
What if I suspect my child has a disability or developmental delay?
Each section of the Warren Township Preschool Program includes an integrated preschool special education component. Our program is designed to educate children between the ages of 3-5 years who exhibit a disability or severe developmental delay in one or more of the following areas: gross motor, fine motor, vision, hearing, intellectual abilities, communication, social and emotional, and adaptive behaviors. This is determined as a result of a Child Study Team evaluation and programmatic recommendation. A continuum of special education services is available for preschool students with disabilities.
If you have a concern about your child’s development, please reach out to our Department of Special Services (908-753-5300, ext. 5705) to request further information.
