Homework in Kindergarten is to read every night or to be read to every night.
You can also practice the high frequency words in the marble notebook.
Modeling good reading and how it should sound, is the best way to help our children. Feel free to ask your children a few simple questions about the book to check for understanding as you read. But, be sure not to take the pleasure away from it. Reading should be a special time for you and your child.
In November/December, our Guided reading program will begin and the students will bring home books that they will be able to read to you!
