Homework
HOMEWORK FREQUENCY
Your child's most important homework is to enjoy being a child - play, discover a hobby, or spend time with family! Your child's job is also to build a love of reading and math! For this reason, I ask that your child read independently for 20 minutes and practice their math facts every night.
Reading aside, students may have math worksheets and/or may be asked to complete assignments that were left incomplete during class time solely due to distractions. This policy is in place to keep students on track with class deadlines. If you believe your child requires additional academic enrichment after school, please contact me so we can chat and come up with a plan!

PLANNERS & AGENDAS
Please check your child's planner daily. While they may not have traditional homework every night, their planner serves as a reminder for long-term due dates, spirit days, and important events happening at school. It will also make you aware of any upcoming tests, quizzes, and assessments in school. Lastly, please encourage your student to check their planner daily as well. Not only does this foster independence, but then your kiddo can never use the line "I forgot about it..." on you at 9 p.m. the night before a project is due!
