Homework
HOMEWORK FREQUENCY
Your child's most important homework is to enjoy being a child - play, discover a hobby, spend time with family! For this reason, the only thing I ask your child must do each school night is read independently for 20 minutes and practice their math facts.
Reading aside, students may have occasional math worksheets and/or may be asked to complete assignments that were left incomplete during class time solely due to distractions. This policy is in place to keep students on track with class deadlines.
PLANNERS & AGENDAS
Please check your child's planner daily. While they may not have traditional homework every night, their planner serves as a reminder for long-term due dates, spirit days, and important events happening at school. It will also inform you of upcoming tests, quizzes, and assessments in school.
Lastly, please work with your child to get into the habit of checking their planner and emptying their backpack after school each day!
