Hello! I am very excited to be teaching 5th grade this year at Mount Horeb! My name is Mrs. Trump. I grew up in Warren and attended Central School, Warren Middle School, and Watchung Hills Regional High School. I like to think I am a product of the wonderful Warren Township Schools and its amazing teachers. I am very happy to teach in the school district I grew up in, working with some of my elementary and middle school teachers. My mother and father still live in town, and my husband and I and our sons live in town as well!

My husband, Jon, and I have two sons, Christian, 5 yrs old, and Lucas, 1 yr old. Christian will be entering Kindergarten at ALT this year. We have a dog named Lincoln, he is a black lab and shepherd mix. FUN FACT, he is the brother of my sister's dog, Roxie!

I graduated from Lehigh University in 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. I continued my graduate education at Lehigh and received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2008. Through the Lehigh program, I was able to participate in two field experiences with 2nd and 4th grades in 2005. In 2007, I completed my Participation in Teaching with a 3rd-grade classroom in the Allentown School District.  Finally, I student taught in a 5th-grade classroom in the Bethlehem Area School District in 2008.

After graduating, I moved back home and substitute taught in Warren for a year. I was then hired to teach 5th grade at Central School for a year before becoming a part of the ALT staff for six years. Seven years ago, I decided to become a Gator. This will be my eighth year teaching at Mt. Horeb!

I am an active person. I love to travel, participate in sports, and dance. I studied abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy. My study abroad semester has been one of the best learning experiences in my life and has nurtured my love for travel and experiencing new places. I have visited several countries in Europe (Italy, France, Spain, and England) and am hoping to head back to visit some family and visit some new countries. Other countries I have visited are Ecuador, Canada, Mexico (four times), Dominican Republic, and Aruba. I have also been all over the United States traveling to San Diego, Los Angeles, California Coast, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Las Vegas, Dallas, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Miami, Clearwater, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Boston, New York, the Hamptons, the Catskills, the list goes on and on. But, my all-time favorite has to be the JERSEY SHORE! I got married in Spring Lake at St. Catherine's and my reception was at Clark's Landing in Pt. Pleasant. I also vacation in Wildwood Crest throughout the summer months (the best beaches around!).

I enjoy watching and playing most sports. I have been playing soccer since 1st grade. My father coached my team for many years and volunteered for the Watchung Hills Travel Soccer Association for years after my sister and I graduated. I played soccer for the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams at Watchung Hills Regional High School. I was born and raised a Jets and Mets fan. Fortune would have me marrying an Eagles and Phillies fan... yuck!

I also LOVE to dance. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, used to teach dance at a local school, and teach Just Dance at our Summer Fun program in Warren. Through my love of dance, I found my passion for teaching. In high school, I was offered an assistant dance teacher position. During college, I continued to help out at the dance studio. I attended every picture day and participated/danced during every recital season. After graduating and moving back home, I was asked again to teach and jumped at the chance. I was considered one of the Alumni that used to dance in the senior class and loved every minute of it! Unfortunately, my dance teacher decided to retire and her school closed down. I continue to dance whenever I can. My sons have definitely inherited my sense of rhythm (thank goodness)!

These past few years have been very special for me! In addition to completing my Teacher Leadership Program at Rider University and receiving my Supervisor Certificate, I also completed the NJ EXCEL program for my Leadership Certification in 2022. I hope one day to be an elementary school principal!

I cannot wait to share more of my life, and I am excited to learn all about you! I hope you enjoyed reading about me!
