Unit 1 - Volume, Multiplication & Division

  • Find the volume of a solid figure by counting unit cubes.
  • Find volume by using a formula. 
  • Break apart a solid figure into rectangular prisms to find its volume. 
  • Multiply multi-digit numbers
  • Divide a multi digit number by a two digit number

Lessons will take place over the course of a few days, divided into 3 or 4 sessions. 

 

*Please make sure to complete 4 nights of Xtra Math & 45 minutes of My Path this week!

Homework

Students are required to complete the following assignments each week. The week begins on Monday and is due the following Monday.

  • 45 minutes of iReady 
  • 4 nights of Xtra Math

Family Letters

Family letters are sent home at the beginning of each lesson. This includes a summary of what and how we are learning the concepts in class, followed by an optional activity that you can do with your child at home. Please read these letters and discuss concepts with your child at a time that is most convenient for you during the week. Family resources are also available online on your child's account.

This webpage is not intended to be the source of daily homework assignments, although we will update assignments.  Instead, students will rely on the daily recording in the student planner they carry in their binder. Long-term projects, major assignments, and tests will be posted at least one week prior to the due date.  Since weekly plans are subject to change, students should continue to use their student planner to record homework daily. Parents, please check your child's assignment book each day to ensure that assignments are being recorded and completed. Thank you for your support.
