Week on October 6th

Reading: Last week we completed our i-Ready diagnostic. This week we be completing Unit One- Classroom Community and moving on to Unit Two-Focus on Strategy Development. 

Reading Logs: Please remember that students should read 20 minutes each night M-F and one day on the weekend. The logs should be filled in and signed each night. We changed to a weekly log since many students were not completing the monthly log. The logs will be counted as homework and missed homework slips will be sent out if they are not completed. 

Writing: We are moving on to Unit 2. This unit is all about the writing process. Over the next week or two the students will choose a writing piece complete it, edit, revise and publish it. Finally they will share it will the whole class. 

Math: We are beginning our multiplication unit: Lesson 4-The Meaning of Multiplication 

Monday-pages 93-96. Homework 1 sheet, Tuesday-pages 97-98. Homework 99-100, Wednesday 101-102/Quiz. Homework 1 sheet. Thursday Lesson 5 p 105-108 Homework 1 sheet. Friday pages 109-114. 

Social Studies: We are working on map skills and how to use a Map Atlas.
