Possible Adjustments to the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 School Year Calendars

Information:

Due to the required use of three district schools as polling places, the Board will consider two options for changes to the calendars:

Option 1 - Schools are closed to students for the general election in November.

The school year is extended by one day.
The staff professional development previously scheduled for Columbus Day changes to Election Day.
Columbus Day is a holiday for all students and staff.

Option 2 - Schools are closed to students for the general election in November and the primary election in June.

The school year is extended by two days.
The staff professional development previously scheduled for Columbus Day changes to Election Day.
The staff professional development day previously scheduled for the day after the last student day in June changes to the primary election day.
