The Challenger League is a national program developed by Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc., the countrys largest youth football & cheer program, which allows children with disabilities from ages 5-16 to participate in flag football games. These games are shorter than regular Pop Warner games, but will include many aspects of standard football games. The goal of this league is to allow children with special needs to develop friendships and have fun! The WHPW Challenger team will play against other teams in the Jersey Valley Conference. Starting Aug. 18th practices will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:00-6:00pm at the Watchung Hills Pop Warner Football & Cheer complex located at 101 Old Stirling Road, Warren, NJ (across from Warren Middle School). Games are played on Sundays. Schedule will be coming out shortly. Girls interested in cheerleading are also welcome. WHPW is also looking for volunteers to help coach and assist with the Challenger League. There is no fee to join this league.
