Dear Parents and Guardians,

All of the Warren Elementary Schools are looking forward to celebrating their PTO Trunk or Treat Event on Friday, October 28th and the annual Halloween Parades on Monday, October 31st.   Parents are strongly encouraged to assist their children in choosing costumes that are sensitive to both the real life issues we face today and to the messages that we regularly give our children throughout the year about non violent and appropriate behavior.   Below are some guidelines for students and parents to help ensure that both events are safe and fun for all involved:

1. In light of recent events, students as well as parents are not permitted to wear a clown costume to either event.

2. Students may not wear any item which may create a safety hazard.

3. Weapons of any type - real or fake - may not be part of any costume nor brought to either event.

4. Masks cannot be worn by adults during any portion of the Trunk or Treat event.

5. Supervision during the Trunk or Treat event is the responsibility of the parent/and or guardian that accompanies the child(ren).

6. Please take caution when parking at these events as the parking lots will experience high volume of both vehicles and pedestrians.
