  • Please copy and paste the link below into your blank web browser.  The link below is a way to talk to your child about positional concepts.  It is suggested you use these worksheets as a discussion or a way to display/present these concepts to your child. It is best to use the ideas in the worksheets with real items in your home to practice positional and spatial concepts. 
  • The Creative Curriculum intentionally focuses on children learning the following spatial concepts:
  1. Can the child follow simple directions related to position (in, on, under, up, down)? 

         (i.e. Follows the teacher direction to put the toy person under the table)

     2. Can the child follow simple directions related to proximity (beside, between, next to)?

         (i.e. Follows teacher direction to put the bear next to the baby doll)

  • Anyone looking for a minute to themselves...... Create some work stations that can be an activity your child might choose.  If you're child isn't interested one day.....try putting it to the side and have it an option for another day.  The below link had a fun idea with a bin of rice + puzzle pieces.
