Battle of the Books

The third “battle” in the Battle of the Books took place on Friday with two - 7th grade teams battling to advance to the FINALS tomorrow. Both teams fought through the tough questions and it was a close game throughout the match ending with a score of 59 to 48. Congratulations to “Team Cliffhangers” consisting of Zoya Balakrishnan, Demi Doss, Jenny Megrish, Namya Singh and Clare Peng.  

 

Tomorrow is the finals in the First Annual WMS Battle of the Books where it is expected to be a nailbiter! Make sure to tune in on Wednesday for the outcome of this intense literary challenge!

This year, SGA will be helping out Visions and Pathways with a monetary donation for general uses. The purpose of this fundraiser is to support the Visions and Pathways organization, which helps with things such as scholarships and education for teens in need. Here is a link to their website if you would like to learn more about who they are and what they do: https://visionsandpathways.org/

To start off this fundraiser, students can have their families donate to this cause either online or physically by first filling out this form. To donate online, you can donate on the official Visions and Pathways website, and to donate physically, you can drop off checks (preferred) or cash at the pickup location in the middle school office.  Any donation, no matter how small, can help this fundraiser out. If there's an alternate way you want to send in a donation, just contact us and we can figure something out!

Looking forward to spring?!

Normally, each grade raises money for their graduation trip through fooddays and snack sales, but since this has not been possible this year, we have put together two delicious fundraisers for your spring celebrations benefiting the graduating class of 2023.

Enjoy savory dishes from Honey Baked Ham and sweet treats from Paris

Baguette while supporting the WMS 6th grade PTO fund.
