Today is Day A

 

Homework Help Club is cancelled for today/

Students should leave on their regular bus.

 

Ms. Hunt’s Astronomy Club will meet today, Wednesday and Thursday this week. 

 

Mrs. Lettire’s Art Magazine club is canceled on Wednesday, January 29th. Please take your regular bus home after school.

 

  1. Honor Band Rehearses this evening at Warren Middle School from 7-9 p.m.

  2. Shrek rehearses today after school - meet in the Band Room. Rehearsal goes until 4:30 this week. You must have a ride home from now on.

 

The goal this year is to have students purchase over 595 books at the PTO book fair. If students purchase more than 595 books they will get to see Mr. Villar and Ms. Mensinger compete for the “Life is a Jungle..Read to Survive” challenge at lunch. 

 

The color team at each grade level that purchases the most books will be able to stick one of their teachers to the wall with duct tape! Buy a book to support your team!

Yoga Club has been permanently canceled for the spring. Students who were planning to attend Yoga starting on February 4 should go home on their regular bus.

 

Spring Clubs start next week! If you are enrolled in a Spring Club, and did not turn in a permission slip back in October, be sure to bring it to Ms. Hunt in Room 43 as soon as possible. You will not be able to stay after school without a permission slip.

 

The Future Freshmen ads for the 2020 Yearbook are now on sale. This is a unique opportunity for you to send a message to your 8th grader(s) that will bring smiles to their faces, for years to come. The last few pages of the yearbook contain the Future Freshmen ads.  The ad purchase requires two parts. First, you must login to Lifetouch and purchase the ad. Once you order an ad, you should receive an email from Lifetouch with directions on how to upload a photo and add your message. The picture and message must be submitted by March 2nd.   

 

The order for the Future Freshmen ad is separate from the purchase of the yearbook.  

All ordering is done online. Order your yearbook and ad for your 8th grader now by going to https://ybpay.lifetouch.com. The ID code is 13393420.

Sports Announcement for Spring

 

The boys team got back on track the last few weeks a big win over Summit and Warren Hills in overtime.  The lost two close games to Montgomery and Franklin. The team is playing their best basketball as the playoffs are approaching.  Their last home game is Thursday vs Hillsborough. Come out and cheer on the team tomorrow

 

The girls basketball team lost 33-46 yesterday against Franklin Middle School. 

 

Point guards Misha P. and Francesca M. worked seamlessly to lead the team with a combined 16 points. 

 

And Starting Center, Maggie G. assisted her team in scoring 15!

 

Great game girls!!

 

Spring sports sign ups for baseball, softball, and track are now open on genesis.  Please sign up and have all paperwork by March 2 to the nurse.
