Archery Club today after school. ~ Mr. Seremula
The boys soccer team defeated Montgomery yesterday 6-2 to advance to the finals of the Central Jersey Junior Soccer Association Championship. Each player on both offense and defense played their best soccer of the season. Skilled passing and team play lead to goals scored by Tiago Fonseca (two goals), Leo Morales (two goals) Arion Ulaj, and Tommy Morris (who scored one for us and one for them). Congratulations boys! The final will be played at home on Friday, location TBA. ~ Mr. O’Heney
The girls had an amazing semi-final performance yesterday!! They dominated from the start and held a 5-0 lead at halftime. Jenna Tobia had a hat trick and Ava Prisco added 2 more. Francesca Sena scored the final goal in the 2nd half. Thanks to all students and teachers that came out to support the team. The team will host the championship game on Friday at 4:00 pm.

Congratulations to the Cross County Team for an excellent performance yesterday at the WHRHS Invitational meet. David Hatcher place first for the boys and Melina Rembimbas finished first for the girls. Ten members of the team received medals.
Today the Cross Country team travels to South Plainfield. ~ Mrs. Bardy and Mrs. Boni

Get ready for the 3rd Annual WMS Halloween Costume Contest. All students who register their Costume before 8:00 in the all-purpose room when they get off the bus are eligible to win a prize. Prizes will be awarded for each grade in the categories of Best Costume, Best Costume Duo, Best Group, Scariest, Funniest and Most Original.

The Media Madness trip into New York City on Saturday, November 3rd is open to ALL Middle School students who want a day of amazing television and live theater interaction and appreciation!
The day starts with the Backstage Tour of Radio City Music Hall and ends with the newly revised NBC Studios Tour.

If any student at the middle school would like to create and submit a poster for the International Lions Club’s Peace Poster Contest, please stop by Mrs. Cooper’s room 32 for more information. This year’s theme is Kindness Matters.
If you are interested in playing Girls' Basketball please make sure all of your paperwork is handed into Nurse Lontai ASAP. There will be a meeting on Friday, November 2nd at 7:45 in the back gym. Tryouts will be held on Monday, November 19th and Tuesday, November 20th. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Buzby.
Boys Basketball tryouts will be held November 13th-16th.
The http://formreleaf.com website will open for boys and girls basketball on Sept. 24th at 9:00 a.m. If you are interested in trying out for basketball you MUST register on FormReleaf.com AND submit a current physical or health history update form. Health History update forms are only to be used if a current physical is already on file. Forms must be submitted to the WMS Health Office NO LATER than October 26th.
The Deadline for FormReleaf registration and paperwork submission is October 26th. NO FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER OCTOBER 26TH.

The SPIRIT-WEAR will be distributed during lunches today. Faculty orders will be placed in teacher mailboxes.
There are a few items that have been backordered. If one of your items is delayed, it will be highlighted on your packing slip. We’ll follow-up via email with updates as to when those items will be delivered.

6th Grade Fall Rec will be Friday, October 26 from 2:50 pm – 4:00 pm. Permission slip was emailed to parents on 10/24. Volunteers and donations are needed. Signup via SignUpGenius.
Our school is looking to raise funds via Box Top and Amazon Smile. All of these methods will generate money for our school at NO COST to you.
Box Tops! We would love your support in collecting them. Box Tops are located on many items and they are worth 10 cents each. All you have to do is cut them out and send them to school with your child. Please see the attach document for detail information.
