WMS Announcements - 6/20/2018
Attention all members of the boys and girls track teams: if you haven't turned in your shirt yet, you need to do so immediately. See
Mr. Hartshorn or Mr. O'Heaney or Mr. Koellhoffer.
Attention all students: If you do not order a yearbook there is still a chance to get one! Yearbooks can be purchased for $30.00 by bringing in cash to Mrs. Regal. A copy of the yearbook will not be reserved for you until we have received your payment. Copies are limited so don't miss out on this great opportunity to remember middle school!
All instrumental music students take your instruments home for the summer.
The 2018 Longhill Township Summer Band and Orchestra application packet (with Warren PTO scholarship form and information sheet) is now available online at my teacher webpage, in the front office on the wall shelf, and in the band hall and the orchestra rooms. The program will run from June 25th to July 19th, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This music enrichment program is available to all current band and orchestra students, grades 4 through 12; and students interested in learning to play a new instrument. Each day, the students take a small like group lesson and an ensemble class. Lessons are taught on all instruments. There are five ensemble classes throughout the day: Intermediate band, Advanced Band, Intermediate and Advanced Jazz Bands, Advanced HS Mixed Ensemble and a group Guitar class, beginning with the youngest students in the morning and ending with the oldest students in the afternoon. The summer music program also offers a string program, open to students beginners through advanced, all grade levels.
Our WMS PTO is graciously awarding eight $150,000 scholarships to our most deserving band and orchestra students who attend the full camp. Partial scholarships may also be awarded at the director's discretion.
If you would like further information, please contact John Seremula at his WMS teacher webpage or call 908-753-5300 x6061; or call Eileen Shanger, the Longhill band camp program director at 908-432-5990/cell or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Today is Day A for the 6th grade.
