The 2017 Long Hill Summer Band / Orchestra Program Application and the PTO Scholarship Form are now available in the Band Hall foyer, the Front Office on the wall shelf and online to download at my teacher page. The instrumental music camp will run from June 26th to July 20th, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This Music Enrichment Program is available to any new student wanting to begin playing an instrument and current band students, Grades 4 through 12. Each day, small like group lessons are taught on all instruments and there are five ensemble classes: Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Intermediate and Advanced Jazz Bands, Advanced HS Mixed Ensemble and a group Guitar Class.
New for this Summer's Program is the addition of a String Program, open beginning through advanced strings! Our WMS PTO is graciously awarding (seven) $150.00 Scholarships to our most deserving Band / Orchestra students who attend the full Camp. Partial scholarships may also be awarded at the Director's discretion.

The Boys Baseball Team defeated Long Hill yesterday 11-7 . The Boys will take on Pingry Wednesday after school.
 
6th Grade Band will meet today during 1st Guide.
 
All 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Band members need to turn in their Marching Band forms ASAP. First rehearsal is Friday, Period 3. 
 
7th Grade Chorus members will meet today in Room 34 during 1st Guide.
You may bring your lunch. Please bring y0ur music picnic envelopes.
 
Reminder there is a mandatory Talent Show meeting for all performers this Wednesday (tomorrow) after school from 2:50 pm until 3:40 pm. Members who have never performed in a WMS Talent Show will be expected to perform tomorrow. Mr. Van Tine needs your MP3 music either emailed to him or brought on a disc. No Videos or YouTubes will be allowed.
