Welcome Letter
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Room 16 and the third grade! We are looking forward to an exciting and productive year. Your child will be learning many important skills during the coming months. A great way to find out what is going on is through our Friday email updates. Below you will find some important information about classroom procedures and expectations.
SNACK/WATER BOTTLES: Please pack a healthy snack (separate from lunch) for your child each day. Also, please send a labeled water bottle to help students stay hydrated in the classroom.
HOMEWORK: We believe the most important thing your child should do each night is spend time with their family and develop hobbies, skills, and interests outside of school. That being said, students will be asked to do only two, but very important things each night: read and practice math facts.
DISMISSAL CHANGE OF PLANS: If your child's dismissal plans change, please be sure to contact the office. If you do so through email, include both of us as well.
We look forward to getting to know your child and you during this third grade year. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have a concern or a question. See you on September 8th for Back to School Night. Third grade presents from 7:30-8:00!
Sincerely,
Sara Kolesar & Michele Wolkun
