Free program - NJ Statewide Parent to Parent Initiative: Ryan Roy is an Autism Advocate for People with Disabilities, especially within The Autism Spectrum Disorder. He was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified) at Age 3. By the Age of 12, he had learned to advocate for himself when presenting about his needs in an IEP Meeting. He is a Graduate from Partners-In-Policymaking Program, through NJ Council On Developmental Disabilities. He has learned to advocate for those who are affected with a Developmental or Intellectual Disability. He is part of BRAN (Bergen Regional Advocacy Network), People First Chapter of Bergen County through NJCDD, Member of Post 21 Club, Bergen County Community Transportation Advisory Committee, DIAL, Inc., HIP (Heightened, Independence & Progress) and a Peer Mentor for Neighbors, Inc. Ryan Roy also collaborates with The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities of Rutgers University.
