Woodland School Halloween Parade
Thank you for your patience dealing with the difficulties that have faced us this week.
In an effort to provide the children with a small Halloween celebration this year, we will be having a Halloween snack followed by a parade tomorrow afternoon (Friday, November 4th). The PTO has generously offered to buy hot pretzels and drinks for each classroom. This alleviates the pressure on classroom parents who normally provide snacks and crafts for classroom parties. The children will share the snack and dress in their costumes beginning at 2:00. By 2:30, we will begin lining the students up for the Halloween parade which will take place in the upper parking lot nearest the high school.
If you are available, please join us at 2:30 while the students parade around the parking lot and exhibit their costumes. At the conclusion of the parade, I ask that you consider returning home and allow your children to return to their classrooms and take the bus home. Using the buses is the most organized and efficient form of dismissal and it will make things much safer given the short time we have to prepare. If you must take your child with you after the parade, please write a note for the teacher and main office so that we can prepare in advance.
Lastly, parking will be available in the front and lower parking lots and on one side of the surrounding streets. The high school’s parking lot will only be available after 2:30 - once their students are safely dismissed.
Sincerely,
Dr. Huss
