Principal’s Message:

Welcome to the Angelo L. Tomaso School where we Foster A Love of Learning. As a community of children, parents and educators we seek to provide our students with an educational environment that is enriched, safe, stable and productive. Our goal is to maintain an instructional setting that stimulates curiosity and sensitizes children to the world in which they live. To achieve these objectives, there are many shared opportunities in all aspects of the teaching/learning process. All the members of our educational community therefore share some role in providing our students with programs and surroundings that will encourage and enrich their love of learning.

This year, ALT’s theme is “Going to Extremes” . Monthly events and cultural enrichment programs are planned to highlight this theme. Activities will include a BMX Bike Show, Amazing Hero Art Show, Prismatic Magic Laser light Show, Mobile Ark Presentation, and Bubblemania.

ALT is proud of the new outdoor education classroom entitled, Nature’s Pathway. This collaborative effort on the part of the PTO and staff, will enhance an appreciation for the environment, and will have direct ties the current science curriculum. Children will be exposed to many new activities, and problem solving tasks as a result of this exciting project.

Each year schools in New Jersey select educational goals to challenge the academic program of the school. This year ALT will focus on achieving the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) benchmark on the state assessment for both Language Arts and Math in grades 3, 4, and 5.
